ST. BERNADETTE1
Le Sanctuaire Notre-Dame de Lourdes en direct.
“Ensinai-me, Senhor, o vosso caminho para que eu ande na vossa presença.”
O Saint Bernadette,
pure and simple child,
you who were privileged to
behold the beauty of
Mary Immaculate and to be
the recipient of her
confidence eighteen
times at Lourdes;
you who did desire from then
on to hide yourself in the
cloister of Nevers and there live
and die as a victim for sinners, please
obtain for us that spirit of purity,
which will lead us also
to the glorious vision of God
and of Mary in Heaven.We ask this through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.
Amen. Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us!
THE ROSARY HOUR PODCAST NEWSLETTER | 18 February | EVENING POST (PST)
PACIFIC STANDARD TIME ON THE MEMORIAL OF THE THIRD APPARITION OF OUR LADY AT LOURDES
TRANSCRIPT: CHILDREN’S ROSARY Q and A continues with Fr. Elias (FI)
FR. ELIAS MARY MILLS REFLECTS ON PRAYER & THE POWER OF THE ROSARY
According to the official sanctuary website at Lourdes:
On 18th February 18, at 6 a.m., Bernadette had brought a pen, paper and ink with her. The Lady spoke for the first time:
“What I have to say to you, does not have to be written down, but will you do me the honour of coming here for fifteen days?”
The Apparition added these words for Bernadette: “I do not promise to make you happy in this world, but in the other.”
How can we be like St. Bernadette and “first to live the message” as she was instructed by her confessor, Father Douce? After she became sick, she tried to do “her job”, to embrace “all her crosses in an act of perfect love for sinners”. “Saint Bernadette died in Nevers on 16th April 1879, at the age of 35. The Church proclaimed her a saint on 8th December 1933, not for having been graced with the apparitions, but for the way in which she responded to them.”
We invite you to watch the mass at Lourdes in France each day at 10h00.

LEADER 2:
I believe in God, the Father the Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary,
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;

on the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into Heaven, and is seated
at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.

LEADER 2:

LEADER 1: The 1st Sorrowful Mystery: The Agony in the Garden
"Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, 'Sit here, while I go yonder and pray.' And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, 'My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.' And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, 'My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will"' (Mt 26:36-39).
We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of Thy mortal Agony in the Garden of Olives and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, perfect contrition for our sins and the virtue of perfect obedience to Thy Holy Will. (Composed by St. Louis Marie de Montfort, “The Secret of the Rosary”)

And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe upon him, and plaiting a crown of thorns they put it on his head, and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him they mocked him, saying, 'Hail, King of the Jews!"' (Mt 27:27-29).
We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of Thy cruel crowning with Thorns, and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, a great contempt of the spirit of the world. (Composed by St. Louis Marie de Montfort, “The Secret of the Rosary”)

LEADER 1: The 5th Sorrowful Mystery: THE CRUCIFIXION
"And when they came to the place which is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on the right and one on the left. And Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do' … It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour, while the sun's light failed; and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, 'Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!' And having said this he breathed his last" (Lk 23:33-46).
We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of Thy Crucifixion on Mount Calvary, and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, a great horror of sin, a love of the Cross, and the grace of a holy death, for us, and for those who are now in their last agony at the point of death. A Prayer to St. Joseph
Glorious St. Joseph, in this moment,
To you we have recourse in your honor;
To you we recommend all of our intentions:
Bring us to your son and our brother, Jesus Christ;
Tell Him all of our worries and desires;
Let your silence speak in us of the love we owe to the voice of the Father in Heaven; Place us at the side of your wife and our Mother – Mary;
Protect our families; sustain all who falter in faith;
And, in the warmth of your lap, make us look with a meek and humble heart at those around us, so that we can be and live as your true children.
Amen.

Children are taught to lead 5 decades of the Holy Rosary before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at Father Nuno’s parish, St. Joseph by the Sea, on the Camino to Santiago.
Students gather around the altar where they offer the Rosary before the tabernacle.
Father Nuno prepares a children’s homily at the 11h30 mass, inviting children to sit up front together, close to the altar, and sitting with their catechesis teachers
Students in formation learn all the elements of the mass so they can participate in all aspects, from presenting the mysteries of the Rosary, reading the key responses to readings, leading reflections, taking up the offertory, and teaching the parish community the meaning of the readings through creative displays.
The entire congregation and the children learn the words of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and all the songs in real time, learning how to respond to / participate in all the segments with a teleprompter.
