Those celebrating the 25th or 50th anniversary of their priestly ordination participated in this Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPTION: SEGMENT ON THE ROSARY HOUR PODCAST [AUDIOCAST #2]

PETER HERBECK:

“I grew up in my home and I was one of seven children. And in my family, we had a good family and we were churchgoers. And my father was a big military hero.

But when he came back from the war, he had some problems. And he had what we call today PTSD.

And long story short, the Lord brought healing to my father and our whole family, and I think it's the result,…

I know it's the result of my mother's daily praying the Rosary every single day in our family.

It was a very significant thing.

We didn't all pray as a family, but she did.

And she all my siblings came back to the Lord.

So it's important to pray the Rosary because we're in a spiritual battle and Our Lady is the head of this is leading the whole church and she's the great warrior.

And she's the one leading us, teaching us how to pray, to cooperate with Jesus, cooperate with our Lord, and then to do that, you know, the rosary, all the different, it's the story of Jesus's life, and it helps people walk with Jesus on a daily basis through his life.

And we learn more about him, we learn about the essential things, and Our Lady actually teaches us, I think, you know, through that, to know more about Jesus and to be able to focus on the things the Lord wants us to be focused on as we pray.

So I think that's great.

I think it's important… plus she gave it [the Rosary] to us. And when Our Lady comes to talk to us on earth, and tells us what to do, it's important for us to listen.”

THE ROSARY HOUR PODCAST NEWSLETTER [10 NOVEMBER 2023]

Dear RHP Readers: We are happy to have you here. Thank you for being part of this evolving conversation. Today’s episode will help us prepare our hearts as we recall those who have died and whose lives we especially honour on Veteran’s Day (USA) a.k.a. Remembrance Day (Commonwealth countries) each year on the 11th month on the 11th day at the 11th hour.1

Captured earlier this year, this podcast discussion was arranged with Peter and Ralph from Renewal Ministries (USA); their team invited the Rosary Hour Podcast listeners to learn more about the annual Lift Jesus Higher Rally in Toronto, Ontario.

In this audiocast, Peter answers five questions for Children’s Rosary Q and A being releasing today as part of Season 2 on the Rosary as we continue to explore the question:

  • “What does it mean to be a Child of God?”

Helping Amelia with this special broadcast:

  • Dr. Blythe Kaufman (USA), founder of Children’s Rosary

  • Karen Rocha who ran this podcast Live Record session

  • Rev. Fr. Peter Turrone, IMC, and pastor at Holy Rosary Parish in Toronto, Canada.

Fr. Peter is one of the Spiritual Directors of the Rosary Hour Podcast and his very popular interview is re-released for this Audiocast to support those with visual disabilities and/or who cannot access our YouTube Channel.

Our Lady of the Cape travelled around Canada for part of the tour led by the Marian Devotion Movement in Canada which organized over 200 "Mary Visits Her Children” events so this statue might reach others who are unable to visit the Trois Rivières Shrine in Quebec, Canada. The story of Our Lady of the Cape can be accessed via the documentary, “Bridge of Roses”, and which links to one of the “oldest Confraternities of the Most Holy Rosary” which was “established in the New World in 1694 at Cap-de-la-Madeleine.” Anyone can still join this Rosary confraternity today!

FACT: In 1694 Rev. Father Paul Vachon established the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary at Cap-de-la-Madeleine in Canada.

A quick note from Amelia (reviewed by Dr. Kaufman & Izzy Nunziato):

Hello, everyone!

Amelia here. I hope you enjoyed this interview, and I wish to thank Mr. Ralph Martin for helping the Rosary Hour Podcast tell others about the Rosary and for helping our podcast mission to spread the message of the Rosary for the Queen of Peace around the world. So far, our podcast has reached people in over 25 countries.3

On March 3, 2023, Peter Herbeck, Ralph Martin, and their team drove through a BIG snowstorm from Ann Arbour Michigan, USA to Toronto, Canada.

Above is a photo memory of the Lift Jesus Higher Rally that I attended on March 4. That day, I arrived in time for adoration, as well as the First Saturday Holy Mass led by His Eminence, Emeritus Archbishop of Toronto, Cardinal Collins: he gave a homily beside the statue of Our Lady of the Cape from Quebec.

THE JOYFUL MYSTERIES OF THE ROSARY:

There are already many people visiting this site who come to the Camino in Portugal. The next article will feature notes by Padre Nuno on “Alegria”, as he answers my question: “Why is it important for people to have joy?”

Please help me to invite others to SUBSCRIBE for free to oterco.substack.com. This convite to learn how-to-pray in Portuguese4 includes a focus on rediscovering the Joyful Mysteries, link here.

If you are reading this newsletter, you are part of a movement that is spreading the message of the Rosary to others. It is our hope that these free resources will give you ideas on how help others rediscover their relationship with God through this powerful devotion.

As an example, Cale Clark, who follows our podcast on SM, interviewed on Nov. 3 a very special guest who spoke in her recent testimony about how a cousin sent her a Rosary in the mail while she was ill. That simple gesture changed Tammy Peterson’s healing path, and also began the road to recovery with the Blessed Mother. When a friend began to appear at the hospital every day during her recovery to pray the Rosary with her, Tammy’s life began to change.5

Each of us can inspire others to pray the Rosary. There are many, many resources online.6

Let’s keep joining public Rosaries & on Veteran’s Day: NOVEMBER 11, 2023 at 4 p.m. EST / 3 PM CT,, Children’s Rosary ® leads another HOLY HOUR on RADIO MARIA USA.

FR. PETER’S MISSION TO NORGE | NORWAY

Bl. Fr. Anthony’s Mission7 was celebrated this past NOV. 7th. He always carried a picture of the Blessed Mother on his missions.

Speaking of mission: here is a quick photo montage from Fr. Peter’s recent Missionary travels to Norway.

PICTURE ON THE LEFT: STAVE CHURCH in OSLO

  • “In the typical Scandinavian type of stave church, a foundation of boulders supports a horizontal wooden frame on which rest four corner posts, or staves. The staves are connected above by a rectangle of beams that complete a boxlike frame; all elements are joined by wooden pegs or by dovetailing.”8

For those who missed the YouTube version of Fr. Peter’s interview, Amelia has requested to add this interview to today’s AUDIO CAST for those with visual disabilities, those who are alone or perhaps recovering from illness.
