"The Wedding Feast at Cana" (Prayer Offering Reviewed by Fr. Nuno Rocha) w/ Live Record by Fr. Thaddaeus Lancton, The National Shrine of the Divine Mercy
LIVE RECORD STUDIO: HOSTED BY AMELIA
On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the Mother of Jesus was there; Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine gave out, the mother of Jesus said to him, 'They have no wine.' And Jesus said to her, 'Woman, what concern is that to you and me? My hour has not yet come.' His mother said to the servants, 'Do whatever he tells you."' (John 2, verses 1 to 5).
“We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus, this next decade in honor of the memory of You turning the water into wine; and we ask of Thee through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, for an openness to recognizing the miracles in our lives.”

NOTES REVIEWED BY IZZY:
‘I will give him the morning star’ (Rev. 2:28).
The Prayer of St. Pope John Paul II to Our Lady Star of the Sea
Mary, Star of the Sea, light of every ocean, guide seafarers across all dark and stormy seas that they may reach the haven of peace and light prepared in Him who calmed the sea.
As we set forth upon the oceans of the world and cross the deserts of our time, show us, O Mary, the fruit of your womb, for without your Son we are lost.
Pray that we will never fail on life’s journey, that in heart and mind, word and deed, in days of turmoil and in days of calm, we will always look to Christ and say, ‘Who is this that even wind and sea obey him?’
Our Lady of Peace, pray for us!
Bright Star of the Sea, guide us!
Our Lady, Star of the Sea, pray for seafarers, pray for us.-Amen
This post segment contains images from a chapel in the Porto region of Portugal that focuses on the Rosary and which also reminds couples to rely on “Our Lady, Star of the Sea”: Stella Maris — for she is the morning star (Revelation 2: 28).

PART IV: VALENTINE’S DAY Q & A + THE PURPOSE OF VOWS, ETC.
AMELIA: It’s almost Valentine’s Day and we are exploring the “Secret of Joy in the 2nd Luminous Mystery”.
Q5: Fr. Thad, do you have any suggestions for praying on Valentine’s Day and what should be my prayer be on this day?
On Wedding Vows: ON MAKING PROMISES
AMELIA: When we read the Bible, we learn that God always keeps His promises.
Q6: What does it mean to keep a promise when you get married and why are wedding vows necessary?”
AMELIA: Fr. Thad, Karen from Hamilton asks:
Q7: “Why can’t Catholics write their own wedding vows?”
AMELIA: Fr. Thaddaeus, the CCC notes about “the grace of the sacrament of Matrimony” in section 1641 that
"By reason of their state in life and of their order, [Christian spouses] have their own special gifts in the People of God."145
It goes on to say that …
“This grace proper to the sacrament of Matrimony is intended to perfect the couple's love and to strengthen their indissoluble unity. By this grace they "help one another to attain holiness in their married life and in welcoming and educating their children."146
AMELIA:3
Q8: Fr. Thad, can you comment on this teaching in the Catechism: What does it mean?
PART V: FINAL QUESTIONS: EXTEND, MAKING CONNECTIONS

We invite couples to pray the Rosary together by coming to Holy Mass early, or even offering to the Pastor a sacrifice their time through helping with the Rosary, i.e. prior to or after the Holy Mass on Sundays.
Children can also help to lead the Rosary after perhaps discussing with the pastor what prayers or music he might like to include, inviting others in the parish to help, etc. Married couples might also talk to the pastor about adding a decade of the Rosary to the wedding ceremony or a wedding breakfast / gathering.
Couples can learn the 1st Luminous Mystery with Fr. David Michael Moses here:
CONTINUATION
1642 Christ is the source of this grace. "Just as of old God encountered his people with a covenant of love and fidelity, so our Savior, the spouse of the Church, now encounters Christian spouses through the sacrament of Matrimony."147 Christ dwells with them, gives them the strength to take up their crosses and so follow him, to rise again after they have fallen, to forgive one another, to bear one another's burdens, to "be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ,"148 and to love one another with supernatural, tender, and fruitful love. In the joys of their love and family life he gives them here on earth a foretaste of the wedding feast of the Lamb”:
etc….
How can I ever express the happiness of a marriage joined by the Church, strengthened by an offering, sealed by a blessing, announced by angels, and ratified by the Father? . .. How wonderful the bond between two believers, now one in hope, one in desire, one in discipline, one in the same service! They are both children of one Father and servants of the same Master, undivided in spirit and flesh, truly two in one flesh. Where the flesh is one, one also is the spirit.
