LET US PRAY ETERNAL WISDOM
by: ST. LOUIS MARIE DE MONTFORT
O God of our fathers, Lord of mercy, Spirit of truth, I, a mere worm of the earth, prostrate before your divine Majesty, acknowledging the great need I have of your divine wisdom which I have lost through my sins and trusting in the unfailing promise you have made to all those who ask with confidence, I come before you today to beg this grace of you with all possible earnestness and the greatest humility. Send us, O Lord, this wisdom which sits by your throne to strengthen our weakness, to enlighten our minds, to inflame our hearts, to speak and to act, to work and suffer in union with you, to direct our footsteps and to fill our souls with the virtues of Jesus Christ and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, for only Wisdom can bring us these gifts. O Father of mercy, God of all consolation, we ask you for this infinite treasure of your divine wisdom, through the tender heart of Mary, through the Precious Blood of your dear Son and through the intense desire you have to bestow your gifts on your poor creatures. Hear and grant our prayers. Amen.
THE ROSARY HOUR PODCAST NEWSLETTER | AUGUST 14, 2024
“Maximilian Kolbe is a prophet and a sign of the new era, the civilization of love.”
– Pope John Paul II
Greetings to those who are called, to those who are dear to God the Father and kept safe for Jesus Christ: we wish you all mercy and peace and love on this vigil of OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION & of the MEMORIAL OF ST. MAXIMILIAN KOLBE, founder of the Knights of the Immaculata.
We begin with a CONSECRATION DAY PRAYER for August 15th provided by Fr. Elias Mary Mills, FI, for those COMPLETING the 33-DAY CONSECRATION TO JESUS tomorrow.
This prayer is authored by St. Maximilian Kolbe:
O Immaculate Queen of Heaven and earth, Refuge of sinners and Our most loving Mother, to whom God willed to entrust the entire order of Mercy, I, an unworthy sinner, cast myself at Your feet, humbly begging You to be so good as to accept me wholly and completely as Your possession and property, and to do with me and with all my powers of soul and body, with my whole life, death, and eternity, whatever pleases You.
If it pleases You, use my whole self without reserve to accomplish what has been said of You: "She will crush your head" (Genesis 3:15), and also: "You alone have destroyed all heresies in the whole world" (Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary), so that I may become a useful instrument in Your immaculate and most merciful hands for promoting and increasing Your glory to the maximum in so many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus extend as much as possible the blessed Kingdom of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
For, wherever You enter, You obtain the grace of conversion and sanctification, since it is through Your hands that all grace comes to us from the Most Sweet Heart of Jesus.
R. Allow me to praise You, O most Holy Virgin.
V. Give me strength against Your enemies
VENERABLE LÚCIA ON THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER
“I am convinced,” Lucia continued, “that the principal cause of evil in the world and the falling away of so many consecrated souls is the lack of union with God in prayer. The devil is very smart and watches for our weak points so he can attack us. If we are not careful and attentive in obtaining the strength from God we will fall, because our times are very bad and we are weak.” (Venerable Lucia of Fátima)
9-DAY NOVENA TO OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION (FINAL EVENING)
“Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”… (1 Corinthians 15:54-55)

Opening Prayer for the Liturgy of the Assumption: August 15
All-powerful and ever-living God, you raised the sinless Virgin Mary, mother of your Son, body and soul to the glory of heaven. May we see heaven as our final goal and come to share her glory. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
READINGS FOR FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION OCTAVE: AUG 15-22
We invite readers to ponder the importance of the key historical moments which influenced the publication of the DOGMA OF THE ASSUMPTION and to re-discover PIUS XII's "MUNIFICENTISSIMUS DEUS"1 (November 1, 1950):
Of importance is the subsequent document pertaining to the final day of the Octave of this Feast: August 22nd, the Queenship of Mary. “Ad Caeli Reginam” was published in 1954 by Pope Pius XII, the publication of which we recall each year on 11 October, the Motherhood of Mary:2

ST. MAXIMILIAN & THE MIRACULOUS MEDAL:
BULLET OF OUR TIMES4
We know that millions of Miraculous Medals have been distributed since the apparitions at Rue du Bac, now situated in one of the most affluent neighbourhoods in Paris, France. (See the pilgrimage video from last year here led by Zosia and Amelia, who appear at the end of today’s video to tell you about their ‘choirs of angels lesson’, which they will continue to prepare for Sept. 29th. )
How to insert … “O Mary, conceived without sin” prayer into the Holy Rosary
Many know that untold graces are bestowed on those who wear the miraculous medal “around the neck” as the Virgin Mary promised to St. Catherine Labouré, and who regularly pray: “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee” everyday.
QUICK LINK TO THE 10 VIRTUES OF OUR LADY (IN THE BIBLE) to understand why Our Lady is without sin with the narrator of the Rosary Hour Podcast:
Fr. Nuno Rocha includes this prayer in between all the decades of the public Rosary before the Holy Mass and at the end of the Rosary with three Avé Marias which pilgrims know varies from the Rosary in English. The set-up allows for this prayer to be uttered 8 times in the Rosary before the Holy Mass.
Below is a sample text from Fr. Nuno’s curated Digital Toolkit for Rosaries led by children and which was also recorded in English for the Joyful Mysteries by Fr. Elias Mary Mills, c.f. “The Secret of Joy” via odiario.substack.com):
LEADER 1: The 1st Joyful Mystery:
The Annunciation of the Angel Gabriel to Mary
"...[T]he angel Gabriel was sent from God into a city of Galilee, called Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David: and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel being come in, said unto her: ‘Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.’"
(Luke 1:26-28)
We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus, this first decade in honor of Thine Incarnation, and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy most Holy Mother, a profound love of humility. (Composed by St. Louis Marie de Montfort, “The Secret of the Rosary”)

MORE ON THE MIRACULOUS MEDAL AND SAINT MAXIMILIAN KOLBE:
Hearing of the miraculous conversion of the agnostic Alphonse Ratisbonne through the medal, St. Maximilian made wearing it and giving it away an integral part of his movement. He called the Miraculous Medal “a ‘bullet’ with which the faithful soldier hits the enemy, that is evil, and thus rescues souls.”
Finally, simply add to your Rosary the prayer from the Miraculous Medal which this Saint promoted through his life as the “bullet”.
