ABOUT TODAY’S GUEST

Peter Herbeck came to the Digital Café via the Rosary Hour Podcast in 2023 to talk about last year’s Lift Jesus Higher Rally which the RHP team promoted and attended.

He is the Vice President and Director of Missions for Renewal Ministries. Peter oversees the work of lay mission teams throughout the world who work to equip Catholic lay people, bishops, priests, and religious to respond to Blessed Pope John Paul II’s call for a new evangelization. He has traveled extensively in the U.S., Canada, Africa, and Eastern Europe for the past thirty years, assisting and training local churches in proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and ministering through the exercise of spiritual gifts. Peter is the co-host of the weekly television show The Choices We Face, and the host of the daily radio show Fire on the Earth. Peter also is a co-host on Crossing the Goal, the popular show for men broadcast weekly on EWTN.

He is a frequent conference speaker, and the author of books and audio tapes about discipleship and life in the Spirit. He has authored a book entitled When the Spirit Comes in Power and co-authored When the Spirit Speaks, Touched by God’s Word, with his wife Debbie.

Peter holds a B.A. in Philosophy from St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota and an M.A. in Theology from Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit, Michigan.

Peter and his wife Debbie have four children, ages 18 to 25, and are members of Christ the King parish in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

In this video, I want to share some of my memories of my pilgrimage to this rally in Toronto, Canada last year, and my meeting with Peter Herbeck and Ralph Martin from Renewal Ministries. I was able to pray with 2000+ participants who came to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on First Saturday.

I hope many of you will invite your friends and family to unite in prayer this Saturday, March 2, 2024 when the Lift Jesus Higher Rally will reflect on the theme:

TAKE HEART: BY HIS WOUNDS WE ARE HEALED.

Love, Amelia xoxo 🥹🥰❤️

P.S. Special thanks to Fr. Peter Turrone and Dr. Blythe Kaufman who helped me with this broadcast. I also want to thank Karen Rocha, Izzy Nunziato for helping me in the control room and with post-production.

P.P.S. At the end of the video, you can watch a short preview of my talk with Fr. Elias Mary Mills, former rector of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the USA. Fr. Elias is supporting our podcast as contributing Spiritual Director who has experience teaching the Rosary. He will help us develop a catechism for teaching the Rosary this summer and through our consecration journey to Fátima, Portugal.

Fr. Elias will talk about the Sabbatine Privilege for the upcoming consecration and other aspects of this evolving podcast.

P.P.P.S. February 27, 1892, marks “a tragedy that devastated the community” near Our Lady of Lapa on the Camino to Santiago in the Porto Region of Portugal. “Seven lanchas poveiras were wrecked in a storm and 105 fishermen were killed, just meters off the shore.” Let us pray for these fishermen and their families / descendants, as well as for Antonio who died 17 years ago today and all those who are lost at sea.
