Dear Readers and friends in Christ:

Feliz Ano Novo!

The Rosary Hour Podcast was busy this week organizing Episode #4, with the help of Spiritual Director, Fr. Peter Turrone, pastor at Holy Rosary, who helped our team prepare our 2024 New Year’s Special Episode with our latest guest, youth ministry leader: 16-year-old Asher Kaufman, who also makes a cameo at the end of this video. In the upcoming conversation, Asher tells Amelia (10-years-old) about his Children’s Rosary ® involvement growing up.

ASHER KAUFMAN AS A CHILD VISITING AFRICA FOR MISSIONARY TRIP.

This episode with Asher replaces our originally scheduled broadcast with Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle who plans to return to our podcast for a discussion of her latest book on “Eucharistic Adoration” and she’ll be interviewed by Dr. Tina Bailey before our podcast’s final broadcasts for Season 2 end (sometime before April 28, 2024). Dr. Bailey’s talk with Fr. Nahm and Dr. Lombardi were posted as an audio recording and will be presented on video for 2024 in segments with a focus on defining Spiritual Direction.

We’ve recently overcome a number of technological hurdles and happy to report that as of 48 hours ago, we shall resume presenting our meetings with Teresa Tomeo co-hosted by Dr. Lombardi from St. Augustine’s Seminary, Scarborough, and featured in today’s First Saturday Presentation.

For now, in this short segment, Dr. Lombardi responds to the book “Everything’s Coming Up Rosie” authored by Teresa Tomeo, and which she reviewed as a co-host to the podcast episode. Of Tomeo’s book, Dr. Lombardi notes:

DR. LOMBARDI: Yeah, I love that you [Teresa Tomeo]1 shared that, and I love that you included the prayer for Marian consecration in your book as well.

Just a reminder that we're all called to have an intimate relationship with her [Our Lady].

She is our mother and a reminder for all of us to consider doing a Marian Consecration.

Knowing that she does pray for us, she does protect us.

Every day I pray that she covers me with her mantle of protection.

And I've had some amazing experiences in my life where I have have felt her either through someone's smile or gesture that I can't explain it, but I I know that she is close, and I know in meditating on the Rosary and the mysteries of the Rosary have not only allowed me to enter into greater intimacy with our lord and his worldly and other worldly experiences but also with our Blessed Mother… [she] reminds us that He is with us.

You know when we think of the Angel Gabriel saying that to our Blessed Mother “the Lord is with you” and we hear that expression throughout sacred scripture whenever the individual is called to a mighty mission.

Gideon hears, “the Lord is with you.”

Joshua hears, “the Lord is with you”.

So whenever we hear that and we hear that at mass, we're being reminded that we're all called to a demanding mission But God's not going to leave us alone.”

THE ROSARY HOUR PODCAST NEWSLETTER | NOTES ON THE EPIPHANY

The word “epiphany” in psychology or the field of “innovation” means “an experience of sudden and striking insight”, according to the Oxford English Dictionary. Fr. Peter also explains that “epiphany” means “manifestation”.

In many ways, tonight’s Vigil which calls us to celebrate the revelation of God the Son as a human being in Jesus Christ, God among us / with us — Emmanuel, marks in this state of “Epiphanytide” this invitation during this Liturgical Season to rediscover the reality of God through the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Cambridge online dictionary further develops the definition of epiphany as that moment when “you suddenly feel that you understand, or suddenly become conscious of, something that is very important to you” and for today’s newsletter, we thought we’d revisit our “epiphany” with regards to the time we spend in 15 minutes of Meditation on the Mysteries of the Rosary for First Saturdays, which might be “an experience of sudden and striking insight” for you in 2024.

Today, we also to offer to our readers, the revised version of this document which we spread out in the Triple Crown Rosary for the 33-day Advent Consecration Journey, and which is represented within this more colorful document that is posted on theholyrosary.substack.com:
